Barefoot. "When it happens. You know it's not anything else" - the girl who hates shoes.
Well, Evan Rachel Wood is gorgeous like always.
The movie is a bit dull, but still refreshing at some moments.
Naivety from a blond small town girl is always a pleasant thing to see... though the story could've been sooo much better and dramatic, and in the end, memorable.

Surviving in Bandung #withstyle - 1. FOOD
As you may all know, Bandung is perhaps the number one tourists destination in all West Java province. Visitors, mainly from Jakarta, come here every weekend with thousands of cars.
And while this is good for the economy, we, the settlers here, the people who actually live here, suffer a lot...
Prices, particularly food, have gone astronomical. It is crazy to see how they sell foods in, for example, Dusun Bambu Retreat, a plate of Baso Tahu... for 30k Rp. To be honest, I can actually eat decently for the entire day for that sum of money. And to be honest, the room rent isn't helping either. All in all, the comparison between salary and costs is simply suffocating, if not choking you to death.
So, with that in mind I would like here to present you with my survival guide on how to survive in this city, but still with style.
Let's start with first things first. FOOD.
Now, we may say the best way to save money on food is to actually cook. YES, of course. But, how good can we cook? Not so much? Well, then, let's do this.
1. Breakfast
> Try the Nasi Gudeg behind Borromeus Hospital. With a modest amount of money, we could actually enjoy a very arguably best gudeg in the city. Believe me, it is amazingly good and cheap. I am not sure about the name, but I think there's only one in the area. Cost around 15k. Opens only till midday.
2. Lunch
> If you care about your health, then go to KEHIDUPAN. Location is in Pajajaran street. Next to KFC and Richeese Factory. ALL VEGAN restaurant. Taste? GOOD, HEALTHY, and dirt cheap. 6k for a plate that will fulfill your stomach with goodness of the nature. GUILT FREE!!! 10.00-21.00
3. Dinner
> Have you ever bought sausage or smoked beef in pasirkaliki butcher? If yes, then you know the place. It is a typical eating-tent, Chinese Food, all Halal *dont-worry. After dark, the parking place of the Pasirkaliki butcher, is the place for the KECAP IKAN eating-tent, of which serves you with a high class chinese food with surprisingly low price. Will cost you MAXIMUM 20k per person if you come with your friends. BELIEVE ME, it is good. +- 19.00 - 24.00
I'll be back with more food for your thoughts about the thoughts of food.

About Men's vs Women's Logic.
Male vs Female Logic.
Woman:
Do you drink beer?
Man: Yes
Woman:
How many beers a day?
Man:
Usually about 3
Woman:
How much do you pay per beer?
Man: $5.00 which includes a tip
(This is where it gets scary!)
Woman:
And how long have you been drinking?
Man:
About 20 years, I suppose
Woman:
So a beer costs $5 and you have 3 beers a day which puts your spending each month at $450. In one year, it would be approximately $5400 …correct?
Man:
Correct
Woman:
If in 1 year you spend $5400, not accounting for inflation, the past
20 years puts your spending at $108,000, correct?
Man:
Correct
Woman:
Do you know that if you didn’t drink so much beer, that money could have
been put in a step-up interest savings account and after accounting
for compound interest for the past 20 years, you could have now bought a
Ferrari?
Man:
Do you drink beer?
Woman:
No
Man:
Where’s your fu****g Ferrari ???

About Wise Words and Its Contradiction.
Let's face it, we oftenly be motivated by words, even sometimes those words are simply invalid sometimes.
For example, the was one seminar by a strange guy, the guy did not say a word, he did only one thing, knocking a hammer on a solid river stone. One by one the people started to leave, but some remained on their seat.
For almost 4 hours, he did that, just that. And out of nowhere, the rock breaks. OK, what can you get from that? Keep that in your mind.
And now, listen to what the other guy said. "Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."
Guess who said it? Yeap, Mr. Albert Einstein.
Oh the irony, wise people have always said, life is about a journey finding the truth in life, the meaning of life, the purpose of life. Yet, apparently there is no absolute truth in life, everything seems vague, there is always one way or another, so what's the point of finding out? If apparently both could work.
It's like formulating a theory with so many "if" functions in it. Life is mystery, perhaps it is better to leave it as what it is? Being ignorant to whatever we are supposed to find out in life?
This is what I think, the smarter/wiser one gets, the closer one is to insanity. So, why bother?

About the BEST QWERTY ANDROID PHONE.
I have to say, it is almost impossible these days to find an affordable, decent, android with qwerty physical keyboard.
But then I found this... EVERCOSS-A28B
The brand is not something to remember. Indonesian brand, Made in China, as always.

PRICE? shocking 100USD.
I've installed BBM, LINE, WECHAT, WHATSAPP, and OUTLOOK. RAM 512MB
It's been running very smoothly, no lag, no restart.
Jelly Bean Android OS. Dual Core 1GHz
Connectivity is all normal, if not fast.
Battery is standard for a day, so one time charging per day is enough.
Dual Slot ALL can set for 3G, no need to swap to switch 3G.
Screen is not sharp but is absolutely effortlessly readable.
Camera is not something to be proud of, but has LED flash.
Considering the price, it is THE BEST ANDROID QWERTY phone for now.

About Keeping Your Partner Happy.
Everyone has taste, style, preference and way of thinking.
That's what makes people unique and complicated.
And so, uniting two units with all those unique features are simply unfeasible if not impossible.
At our young age, we never really agreed when Queen sang "Too Much Love Will Kill You".
But then again, now, I do believe too much love could easily kill the both of you.
There is one analogy that I see a perfect guide of keeping a relationship. <this is strictly subjective>
OK, so easy way to say it, it's like having a fish tank.
ALL you have to do, is to make everything livable.
Let them breathe easy, feed them regularly - excessive will kill them easily, don't put your hands too much into the water.
Gotta keep the water fresh and filtered, sometimes change the water - even when you change the water, you cant change it completely.
Let them be exposed to UV sometimes. Give them a bit challenge by adding a little current to the water.
It ALL makes sense. Do this and your partner should be happy.

About The Wuhan City, China.
No body believed that I could survive long in China, not even my self.
But well, I did, for 18 months, working.
The city was Wuhan, an enormous city, which is actually not a favorable place to live in for me.

But then again, I miss it sometimes. The people were surprisingly nice, I mean, the colleagues.

This was the place where I worked and lived. Good hotel with a reasonable price, I have to say...
It's a Novotel, so dont worry about the standard. It's all good.
We had guests like Edinson Cavani, Diego Forlan, Luis Suarez, Marcello Lippi, etc etc.
Wuhan is separated into three districts, Wuchang, Hankou, and Hanyang.
Normally when you visit Wuhan you will only be around Wuchang and Hankou.
WUHAN on WIKI
So anyway here are some things you might enjoy in Wuhan...
The Yellow Crane Tower.
Crane as in the animal...

Theres actually not too many things to do there, but you can see most part of the city from there.
Jiang Han Road.

The place to shop or to dine... with all the classic building, and very the wide walking plaza.

The East Lake

You can walk around it... if you have the energy and the time... or you can also ride the bicycle.
The Riverside.
The Riverside is my favorite place to take a walk... filled with parks and wide walk path.
Normally people would do sports there. Or even traditional dancing.

The Food.
Re Gan Mian.

This is MY FAVORITE FOOD for breakfast.
It is noodle with sesame paste. GOOD AND CHEAP.
Ma La Tang

The idea is like shabu shabu in Japanese, which you take anything you want, and boil them in a seasoned and normally spiced soup. Meat balls, sausages, crabrolls, noodles, veggies, tofu, etc.

Well... I know not everyone has this city on their list, but nevertheless... It's not too bad at all.
